Congratulations to Noah Brown who will be attending the Gaming Academy for two weeks this summer. ComAcader Riley Stockton (right in photo), joined band members Emiliano Flowerman and Cullen Gray (band member Owen Clapp was not present) for an interview on 90.5 FM KWMR. Congratulations to Aiden Gavet and Peter Schwab for being accepted into their first choice colleges. Gavet will be studying acting at San Francisco State University and Schwab will be heading to Colorado University at Boulder to eventually study business/public relations. Well done ComAcaders!
Everyone in ComAcad is excited to get their hands on the latest addition to our equipment lineup: a brand new Panasonic HMC150 High Definition Camera.
The 150 expands our HD shooting capabilities while complementing our two Canon A1s. One very exciting feature of the 150 is that it records to flash memory cards instead of tape like the rest of our current cameras. This new workflow is currently revolutionizing the industry and will allow our students to stay current with skills useful to careers in media production.
The new camera was purchased through a generous grant given to our program by the Marin County Regional Occupational Program (ROP), whom also helps to fund the general operation of the academy. Everyone at ComAcad is greatful for their continued support.
